Catalpa tree
Be kind other each other
As I walked away from the shade of the catalpa trees and began trickling the remaining physical pieces of our family's patriarch, the circle of life ran through my mind. It wasn't the rousing rendition often heard from Tuner after a few coffee mugs in the evening, but more the philosophy underlying the phrase. i though of the ground absorbing the pieces over the next year. I thoughts of the sprouts of hay soaking up the nutrients, care and love next spring and growing to new heights with a green vibrancy never before seen on that hilltop. Then I turned around to look at everyone there, releasing their grip in their owon way: silent prayers, a slow walk and sprinkle, a quite reverence with a bandanna held out for the breeze to steal away every bit that it sould , a song and a dance, a toss toward the horsehoe embedded in one of the catalpas.
